November 12

When we woke up Molly had a little head cold. Remarkably, this is just about the first, and worst, illness that we have had during our trip. As Molly quipped, we are healthier while traveling than at home in Denver.

Ready to take on all comers

We ended up having a quiet, fun day close to home. Theo enjoyed schooling Lisa and me in ping pong for as long as he could find a taker.

In the afternoon we went to the mineral hot springs in Tiberias, ostensibly to allow Molly to receive the healing benefits of the mineral springs, but really just to swim and play in the water. As we made our way to the “spa,” we walked past the Tiberias water park. It is closed for the season, but looks like it would be fun if it were open. But it has one feature we have not noticed in water parks in the U.S., and which seems a little out of place for a kids’ park. See if you can spot it in this picture.

Outside the gate of the Tiberias water park. Whee! If I were in there, I think I'd never want to leave!

  1. tHE BARBED WIRE IS EVIDENT. THAT WATR PARK WAS NOT THERE WHEN I WAS THERE. AS WITH EVERYTHING THE MODERN COMES IN, NOTHING STAYS THE SAME. I DO REMEMBER TIBERES TO BE VERY CHARMING.
