St. Peters Square

St. Peters Square

A day filled with art!  We started at the Villa Borghese enjoying the Bernini sculptures and the Caravaggio paintings.  From there we headed down the hill and through a church displaying the bones of 4000 Capuccin Monks in creative designs.  (Not exactly what I would consider art, but you know what they say about the eye of the beholder!)  We then spent the afternoon wandering around St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, enjoying a bit more Bernini and some Michelangelo.
