On July 13, many of the fire-stations host pre-Bastille Day dance parties from 9:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. As luck would have it, the fire-station a couple blocks from our apartment was hosting such a party and boy was it fun. We arrived around 9:45 and waltzed right in. There was a crowd of all ages, music and lots of dancing going on and we decided, what the heck and joined right in. A little after 11:00 we decided it was time to round up the kids and head out. As we left, we noticed the line to join in had now grown considerably. Snug in our beds, we heard the loud roar of sirens at4:00 a.m., signaling the end to the festivities for the evening.
